Ring Carving Workshop

Ring Carving Workshop
Carve Your Own Ring at the Musée Roo Pop-Up!
Sunday 14th July 14.00 - 18.00
56 Gloucester Rd, Bishopston, Bristol BS7 8BH
Join me to carve your own ring from jewellers wax!
During this intimate 4-hour workshop I’ll introduce you to wax sculpture and the ancient art of lost-wax-casting for jewellery making. You’ll get to explore and try a variety of waxes and tools before we begin sculpting rings as a group. I’ll show you how to work out your ring size and create a ring to fit your finger.
What’s included?
An introduction to wax sculpture for jewellery where we will make our own rings from jewellers wax.
For a £125 ticket you can make a raw brass ring.
For a £180 ticket you can make a recycled sterling silver ring.
This 4 hour workshop will run from 2pm - 6pm at the Musée Roo Pop-Up, 56 Gloucester Road, BS7 8BH.
I will cast, finish & polish your creation before I post it to you.
Please allow up to 5 weeks to receive your finished treasure.
I will bring jewellery and art books to inspire us, lots of different tools for you to explore, and a variety of different jewellers wax for you to model from.
I’ll provide light nibbles and drinks to fuel our crafter-noon.
Please note:
There are just 6 places available at this workshop. I may release another session if it gets booked up and if people are keen! :)
If you want to make a chunky and heavy ring it will cost more. Additions and alternative materials can be discussed at the workshop. Alternatively, you can email roo@museeroo.co.uk .
Tickets are non-refundable but if you email me to cancel your place with 48 hours notice you can use the amount paid on a piece on jewellery.
