About:
I originally carved this little Eros statuette by studying an array of ancient Eros earrings. Quite a few of them have survived the Classical Period, and I enjoyed looking at the differences, and translating ancient depictions into a charm for the modern-day.
Eros - as you can see - is a very cute chubby cherub. He has a dinky belly, a little perky bottom, a willy, and wings outstretched across his back. Eros is the Greek version of the mythological Roman cupid - the cheeky little minxy god of love and lust. He can also represent romantic love, love within a friendship, and even self-love. Beautiful!
Handmade:
Eros is hand-carved from wax and cast into 100% recycled 925 sterling silver or a golden alloy of brass. I have then attached him onto some ornate Fleur de Lis silver leverback earring hooks, which are made of sterling silver or 14ct filled gold. It’s good petal going into your precious lobes!
Care:
Silver and brass will both naturally oxidise and darken over time. To keep them shiny and bright, use the microfibre polishing cloth enclosed within your order, and swot up on the care card included, for lots of tips and tricks for caring, storing, and generally wearing your adornments.
