This one-off charm necklace is a lucky token, a journey & protective piece of art to be worn. It features a cast Molten Star Amulet & a clutter of 18 reclaimed & recycled gemstones from faraway lands & seas.
The oceanic blues & galactic greens of this piece are delicious. Every gemstone has been carefully hand-wrapped in precious wire to make individual charms from them.

Necklace Length: 16 inches.
The Molten Star amulet is made from raw brass. I used tiny tools and soft wax to sculpt the star & then have it cast into raw golden brass.
18 gemstones: Turquoise, adventurine, agate, peridot, jadeite, quartz, moonstone, freshwater pearl, fluorite, glass, mother of pearl, malachite, antique Tasmanian Mariners shell (you can’t see the front of the delicate shell here but it’s beautiful!).
The necklace chain & all of the metal details are made from 14ct Filled Gold - a thick layer of gold is pressure bonded onto base metal. Filled gold is a more durable alternative to gold plate or vermeil.
Care:
If you've chosen a piece that has a mix of cast brass amulets on a gold filled or gold-rolled chain, you'll need to treat these elements differently when caring for your jewels. You'll recieve a small white polishing pad with your order to be used on the brass amulets. Please refrain from using this pad on the chain, its quite course and will affect the way your gold looks. The gold is pressure bonded onto the base metal surface, rather than just electroplated on the top. This gold bond is much thicker than plate, and the 14ct gold of this chain makes up 5% of the total piece.
Dispatch and delivery:
Please allow me up to 10 days to dispatch your jewel. Altered lengths may take closer to 2 weeks as I may need to order extra components.
