This one-off charm necklace is a lucky token, a journey & protective piece of art to be worn. It features a cast Romano-British coin & a clutter of 20 reclaimed & recycled gemstones from faraway lands & seas.
The oceanic blues & galactic greens of this piece are delicious. Every gemstone has been hand-wrapped in precious wire to make individual amulet charms.
Details:
Necklace Length: 18 inches - clip it securely onto the chain itself to wear it shorter.
The Molten Coin amulet is made from raw brass. A Romano-British coin was heated above a candle & impressed into jewellers wax to create this lucky coin token. The coin features Constantine III.
20 gemstones & Trinkets: an antique Tasmanian mariners shell, lapis lazuli, malachite, pearl, mother-of-pearl, turquoise, moonstone, abalone & fluorite.
The necklace chain & all of the metal details are made from 14ct Filled Gold - a thick layer of gold is pressure bonded onto base metal. Filled gold is a more durable alternative to gold plate or vermeil.
Pieces from this festive drop will be posted on Monday 23rd December with complimentary Special Delivery to UK addresses.
Anything ordered after Sunday 22nd won’t begin to be made & wrapped ‘til the second week of January.
Care:
If you've chosen a piece that has a mix of cast brass amulets on a gold filled or gold-rolled chain, you'll need to treat these elements differently when caring for your jewels. You'll recieve a small white polishing pad with your order to be used on the brass amulets. Please refrain from using this pad on the chain, its quite course and will affect the way your gold looks. The gold is pressure bonded onto the base metal surface, rather than just electroplated on the top. This gold bond is much thicker than plate, and the 14ct gold of this chain makes up 5% of the total piece.
Dispatch and delivery:
Please allow me up to 10 days to dispatch your jewel. Altered lengths may take closer to 2 weeks as I may need to order extra components.
